Beautiful Wolf Art, well I could have found a better title I suppose but the title speaks of what I personally feel about wolves. They are magnificent animals with a gaze that can appear to study one with understanding and comprehension. I often think animals and birds are far more intelligent than they are given credit for.
This work started as a rather bland photograph and I used some naturally painted textures scanned for the background, then digitally painted the wolf interwoven with extra detail for the fur and texture of his eyes. He's not as softly created as he appears and if you zoom in you'll see the almost embossed effect of the digital paint I used.
