Artist's Description

The geological survey marker on the summit of on of the Colorado 14ers, Quandary Peak. This photo was taken in January during a "calendar winter" ascent of the peak. Quandary is one of the safest and easiest (though still a lot of work) of the Colorado 14ers to summit in the winter months as it's trailhead is easily accessible by car and has a low angle making it a relatively avalanche safe route. If you look closely, you can see fresh snow flakes fallen on the metal marker.
