Symbolic painting of two animals which represent the one person, Jesus Christ. The lamb represents Jesus as he was sacrificed or slain for the sins of the world, just as the Jews would sacrifice lambs and other animals to God before Chirst came. The lion also symbolizes Christ as the dominant king or lion of the tribe of Judah. There is also symbolism in Isaiah's prophecy of when the dominant animals would lie down with the week one's meaning that God would bring peace.
