This stunning sunset features La Plata Peak as viewed from near Independence Pass between the towns of Leadville and Aspen. The wildflowers were in bloom on this mid summer evening as the last rays of sunlight touch the top of the peaks. La Plata is the 5th tallest peak in the Rocky Mountains.
