The contrasting skies with the light shining through on the clouds onto the bright yellow gold aspen groves at the base of Colorado's 14,000 ft. Maroon Bells in hte Maroon Bells/Snowmass Wilderness Area. The scene creates a feeling of hope when the weather wants to bring despair. This is part of a unique series of high contrast mountain landscapes taken during ominous weather situations where the sun rays fill part of the picture while the storm clouds darken the rest of the image.
