The moon sets as the sun rises on Bierstadt Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park on a crisp spring morning. The dawn light was filtered through a hazy atmosphere to the east creating a soft pink glow on the Continental Divide. Peaks featured include (from left to right) Taylor Peak, Hallet Peak, Flattop Mountain, and Notchtop Mountain. This lake is named after the famous American landscape oil painter Albert Bierstadt.
