Sunrise photography of one of America's most iconic mountains, Pikes Peak. This classic view of Pikes was taken in the late November at Garden of the Gods Park near Colorado Springs. The large craggy pink colored granite rocks glow at sunrise making it quite a majestic place to see in real life. Garden of the Gods is a very popular, crowded area, but solitude and awesome beauty rewards anyone willing to sacrifice the discomfort of an early pre-dawn hike. PIkes Peak is one of Colorado's 14ers of the Front Range.
